Course 3 Summer 2011 leaves Midland and ends in Britt

COURSE #3: The North Channel and Georgian Bay (Midland to Britt)

Course 3 departs from Midland Ontario. We often go to Midland.

From there both Pathfinder and Playfair sail up Georgian Bay to the eastern entrance of the North Channel.  The trainees will have the opportunity to explore the eastern end of the North Channel (“one of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world”) stopping along the way to explore the many islands, beaches, and coves.

As this course winds down, the boats will return to Georgian Bay on their way to the course end point at the scenic village of Britt, Ontario.

[Britt is the home of Jim Sorrenti who owns and operates Little Britt Inn. Every year, Jim gives a prize for the Silent Auction at our annual Pirates Ball! Next Pirates Ball is February 2012]

Departing: Friday, July 15th Arriving:  Friday, July 22nd Duration: 8 days

There are still a few berths available for the courses later this season. So there is still a chance for some lucky tenagers to enjoy their tall ship adventure this summer.  Bursaries are available. The TBI Summer Program is eligible for Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
