Annual Brigantine Races 1965

Pathfinder was towed into Toronto Harbor for fitting out in Jun 1963, one month after she was launched in Kingston.

On July 26, 1963, St Lawrence II and Pathfinder were open for public tours in Toronto at the bottom of Spadina. Two weeks from then, they were scheduled for the first of their annual sailing races.

Weather caused the race in 1964 to be called off at the last minute.

In August 1965, Pathfinder wins in a tall ship race against St Lawrence II. This is the third year of an annual race at the Exhibition waterfront between “Canada’s only brigantines” at that time.
