Work in Progress, maintaining the boats

There is lots of work in progress on the boats this Winter/Spring. Over 50 participants of Toronto Brigantine’s Winter program are volunteering over 180 hours each with work on the boats and training to prepare for the Summer Program delivery.   The work activities on the boats this year have a total cost of  $50,000 for materials and the professional expertise needed to finish the work.  The work this year, is part of a three-year $500,000 plan for maintenance on the boats.

Stay tuned for the save the date notice coming in June. TBI’s annual Blessing of the Fleet is when  we wish safe sailing for the up to 200 teenagers who will enjoy a life transforming youth sail training experience each summer – and this year we will also celebrate the work that has been completed on the boats, thanks to the generous financial support of Toronto Brigantine’s friends and supporters.   We will take new pictures in June to show all the work that TBI has done this year.
