April 29, 2011: 28th Annual Yachtsmen’s Spring Thaw Luncheon with proceeds to benefit Toronto Brigantine Inc.

Its coming up to the Yachtsmen’s Spring Thaw Luncheon (YSTL) again… and time to start thinking about this years sailing season.

The 28th Annual Luncheon will be held at The Boulevard Club on Friday, April 29th, 2011.

The proceeds from the YSTL event will go towards the Toronto Brigantine’s youth sail training program and we really appreciate the support of  Yachtmen’s Spring Thaw Luncheon.

The feature speaker at YSTL this year is Derek Goring, Director, Development at Waterfront Toronto.

Achievement Awards are presented at the YSTL each year and this year the honorees are: Fred Eaton for the Yachtsman of the Year –Sail Trophy (sponsored by The Paul B Helliwell Foundation), Mark Ellis for  the Yachtsman of the Year – Power Trophy(sponsored by Harper Power Products Inc), and Hub Steenbakkers for the the Environment Award(sponsored by The Store-Mason Chandlery and Natural Marine).

Toronto Brigantine was pleased to see so many of the long time Toronto Brigantine supporters from Toronto’s sailing community at last year’s event, and we look forward to seeing them and many more again this year.

We would love to have you sponsor a table at the event this year … and with your ticket price, you also get to participate in draws for great prizes which include an afternoon group sail on the brigantines or a framed limited edition print by the late O.K. Schenk or an anchor for your 27 foot boat (too bad it doesn’t come with the boat) … and we will see you there.

To purchase tickets for the event or find out more information, please see the YSTL Order Form
