Vincent Massey on Pathfinder, 1967

Toronto Brigantine is so lucky to have had such great sponsorship and support over the years.

Vincent Massey was Governor General of Canada from 1952 to 1959.   One of Vincent Massey’s interests was in working with youth.

Pathfinder was officially commissioned in July 1964, presided over by then retired Governor General, Vincent Massy and he commissioned  the STV Pathfinder. [we are looking to trace pictures from that event, contact us if you have any office@torontobrigantine.org]

Here is a newspaper clipping of Vincent Massey visitng Pathfinder again in 1967.

It was Toronto Brigantine alumnus, Keith Leewis (1964-1966) that provided this  soft copy version of the newspaper clipping.
